From February 27th to March 4th, the city of Mazatlán will become a scene of joy and fun with the celebration of the International Carnaval and to promote the great party this Friday, January 31st, starting at 4 p.m., a joyful demonstration will take place that will go through the main streets of the city.
The Carnaval demonstration will feature the participation of the current court made up of the Queen of the Mazatlán International Carnival 2024, Carolina Ruelas; the Queen of the Floral Games, Siu Ling Cotero; the King of Joy, Héctor Limón; the Children’s Queen, María Paula Velarde and the Queen of Poetry, Givanna Valdez.
The public will be able to admire the beauty of the 12 candidates for the Queens of the Mazatlán Carnaval 2025: Lesly Acosta, Mariana Valverde, Samantha Godoy, Sandra Tirado, Mariant Franco, Grecia Rodríguez, Fernanda Velazco, Desiré Velázquez, Lucero Lizárraga, María Fernanda Ramírez, Evelyn Pineda and Melissa Cuevas.
The candidates for King of Joy: Sergio Osuna Corona, Bryan Gamboa Durán and Roberto Castro, will contribute their brave presence and unique joy, and the girls Ángela Salazar and Ximena Lizárraga, who are competing for the children’s crowns of the Mazatlán Carnaval, will join the great walking fiesta.
During the journey, the musical joy will be provided by recorded music and the Brisa Mazatleca Band, there will be festive dancing groups, stilt walkers and the enthusiasm of the contestants’ cheers.
The demonstration will begin at Leonismo Internacional Avenue at 4 p.m. and will go along Ejército Mexicano, Juan Carrasco, Aquiles Serdán, Miguel Alemán and Olas Altas avenues, ending with a big party at Plazuela República.
At 6 p.m., the candidates for the royal thrones will be received by local authorities in the City Hall, where they will exchange impressions about the fiesta and greet the public from the balcony of the presidential office. Later, they will join the Carnaval celebration at Plazuela República, enlivened by the euphoric cries of support from the candidates’ cheering groups, the intervention of dancers and the musical rhythm of the group One Play.
