The Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa with the support of the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlan brought the excitement and color of the Mazatlán International Carnaval “La Perla” to Durango to invite the people of Durango to join the biggest Port fiesta in its 127th edition.
During the weekend, activations were carried out in the Plaza de Armas of Durango, with the participation of the All Dance troupe of CBTIS 51 directed by Blanca Ibarra. On this promotional trip, the presence of royalty could not be missing, represented on this occasion by the Queen of the Mazatlán Carnaval 2024, Carolina III, and the King of Joy of the Mazatlán Carnaval 2023, Víctor II.
Carolina III impressed the people of Durango with her beauty and her majestic royal attire when she participated in the Callejoneada of the ESMUMEX, a traditional event of the School of Mexican Music of Durango that was infected with the joy of the Port’s Carnaval.
The promotion of the most emblematic festival of the Mazatlecans was led by the Secretary of Tourism of Sinaloa, Mireya Sosa Osuna, who invited people to join the celebration from February 27th to March 4th.
The head of SECTUR Sinaloa took advantage of the presence of the media to highlight that Carnaval Mazatlán is an important economic and cultural engine for the region, with more than 950 thousand people expected to enjoy the parades of floats, artistic presentations and the traditional Naval Battle (fireworks).
