The Mazatlán International Carnaval 2025 “La Perla” continues to offer pleasant moments and on its third day of activities the Naval Combat surprised with a pyromusical show that illuminated the sky and thrilled thousands of attendees who gathered in Olas Altas Bay.
For almost half an hour, the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, with almost 500 kilograms of fireworks, relived the epic night of March 1864 in the Port of Mazatlán, when the French Army on the ship “La Cordelière” tried to take the coast and the Mexican Army from land protected the city, containing and defeating the enemy.
This surprising pyromusical show was led by maestro Jorge Márquez and his company Lux Pirotecnia, who subtly illuminated the sky and painted it in colors with the explosion of the firecrackers that were thrown from six different barges, points on land, a ship of the Mexican Navy and from the surprising vertical tower that reached 50 meters in height.
For the third consecutive year, before the Mazatlan public, the giant steel tower became a great attraction by housing more than three thousand firecrackers, causing happiness among the demanding public that was trapped between the enveloping sound of the music and the magic of the colored lights.
On this occasion, the melodies that played in this enormous urban venue were the iconic “El sinaloense”, modern music such as “Don’t star now”, by the performer Dua Lipa, as well as pre-Hispanic melodies based on instruments such as ocarinas, marimba and guitar, which engulfed and made families from the Port and abroad dream.
For almost half an hour, the sky turned into various colors due to the surprising launch of fireworks such as chrysanthemums of different sizes and shades, comets, spark fountains, interior volcanoes, among other gunpowder elements that were mind-blowing, and made more than one person’s skin crawl and get emotional and shed tears of emotion.
Present at the Naval Combat were SGM Lucero I, Absolute Queen of the Mazatlán Carnival 2025; SGM Desiré I, Queen of the Floral Games, Royal Princesses and Ambassadors who are in the city to enjoy the most emblematic festival of Mazatlan residents.
Jorge Márquez, creator of this pyromusical show, said that he has more than 20 years of experience, it is his favorite event and every year he is very nervous because Mazatlan is a knowledgeable and very demanding public.
