At noon today the Committee of Bolsheviks announced that on Saturday, March 1st, they will send “Fofo” Márquez to the bonfire in the Quema de Mal Humor (Burning of Bad Mood) of the Mazatlán International Carnaval 2025 “La Perla”.
To give the news, the Bolsheviks visited the media, Plazuela República, the José María Pino Suárez market and Plazuela Machado where, accompanied by banda music, they read the proclamation to announce the verdict.
Rodolfo “Fofo” Márquez was found guilty of attempted femicide and sentenced to 17 years and six months in prison, in addition to paying a fine of 67,313.40 pesos, plus the amount of 277,400 pesos to repair the damage to the woman he assaulted.
The 27-year-old “influencer” became popular on social media, reaching almost 4 million followers with his eccentric posts in which he boasted of a life full of luxuries and controversial behavior.
With this background, “El Fofo” became the character who generated the most social irritation among the population and for this reason he will be burned in a “piñata” type figure, thus releasing collective tensions and giving way to the celebration.
This Saturday, March 1st at 9 p.m. this traditional Carnaval event will take place in Olas Altas.
