Authorities of the 3 levels of government finalized details of the strategy that will be implemented in the party areas.
In the framework of the Carnaval Mazatlan Security Committee 2020 meeting “Somos America” that starts this Thursday, the office of the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte, José Ángel Tostado Quevedo stressed that the entire strategy of organization, but above all surveillance, is ready to ensure the safety of attendees at the different events.
He mentioned that by instruction of the Municipal President, Quimico Luis Guillermo Benitez Torres, an operational plan was developed that includes the participation of police corporations and armed forces of the three levels of government, which gives peace of mind so that each of the activities is performed as planned.
He recalled that the coronation events at the Park of the Sister Cities and at the Teodoro Mariscal baseball stadium, as well as the Olas Altas fiesta and the parades are events that can be accessed for free, and for this they were established entrance times.
“We are ready to start a successful Carnaval, where tomorrow we will be starting at seven at night with the Remmy Valenzuela event in the park of Sister Cities, and on Friday we will open Olas Altas at seven at night. You cannot miss it. Admission is free for everyone to enjoy this Carnaval “Somos América, Pasión, Alegría y Esperanza”, said the official, after the work meeting.
In the case of events in the Teodoro Mariscal Stadium, José Ángel Tostado Quevedo reiterated that the doors will open two hours before each event on Friday and Saturday, while on Monday they will open three hours before.
During the meeting, the holders and representatives of the National Guard, Federal Police, Ministry of Public Security, Secretary of the Navy, Civil Protection, Municipal Transit, Firefighters, Mexican Army, Firefighters, Red Cross, volunteer Rescue Groups and Senior Officers, reviewed the surveillance strategy of the Carnaval areas, Plazuela Machado and route of the parades, which for the Sunday tour, was extended from the Park of the Sister Cities to Rafael Buelna Avenue.
He stressed that by land, by air and by sea, the armed forces, security and relief forces will be operating during the development of all Carnaval Mazatlan events.
