This Friday, the second review of the Olas Altas area was carried out to verify the points where the eleven stages, brewery bars, entrances, ticket offices and bathroms.
The operation called by the Instituto de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán extended to Av. del Mar and Plazuela Machado, where the first verification of Carnaval and parade area was carried out.
Enrique Vega Ayala, CULTURA Planning Director, reported that the objective was to check where the emergency exits will be, the brewery’s points of sale, the areas where people with disabilities will be located, the location of the booths for live broadcasts and the shelter areas for floats.
Civil Protection personnel participate in the review operations to review electrical connections and the cables that cross the avenues of the parade so that there are no risks; the Mayor’s Office, Transit, Municipal Public Security, elements of the Fire Department, Red Cross, the Directorate of Public Works and Planning were there because there is construction work on the Malecon, from Av. Alemán to Rafael Buelna.
Enrique Vega considered it necessary for the competent authorities to determine what type of measures are going to be adopted, if it will be a prior suspension of the works or they will have to stop construction only on the days of the parades, or if they are going to be allowed to work inside, but Not outside, all for the safety of the people who will come to enjoy the parades on Sunday, the 19th and Tuesday, the 21st of February or decide to enjoy the Carnaval fiesta in Olas Altas.
