Queens of Carnaval International de Mazatlan ‘flew’ to the city of Chihuahua, invited by the Sinaloa Ministry of Tourism to promote the entity’s tourist attractions through the “Savoring Sinaloa” program.
Libia Gavica Farriols, Queen of Carnaval Mazatlán 2020 and Sofía Briseño, Queen of the 2018 Floral Games, joined the delegation made up of officials from the Ministry of Tourism, the Mazatlán City Council and representatives of the tourism sector, with the purpose of presenting the novelties and attractions of Sinaloa before more than 300 tourist agents from the Chihuahuan region.
The Carnaval Queens traveled on the return flight of the new Viva Aerobús route, which connects Mazatlán with Ciudad Juárez.
Regarding this new air connection, the Secretary of Tourism of the Government of Sinaloa, Estrella Palacios Domínguez specified:
As of July 3rd, the airline Viva Aerobús began the Ciudad Juárez-Mazatlán route, which will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The flight will leave Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, at 4:20 p.m. and arrive in Mazatlán at 5:05 p.m., returning at 5:50 p.m. to arrive at its point of origin at 8:40 p.m.
Before embarking on the trip, the sovereigns of Carnaval Mazatlán participated in the cutting of the inaugural ribbon of the new route, an act chaired by the President of Mazatlán, Edgar González Zatarain and the Secretary of Tourism, Estrella Palacios, accompanied by Eduardo Galindo Gómez, administrator of the Mazatlán International Airport; Ricardo Velarde Cárdenas, Undersecretary of Promotion, Meetings Industry and Tourist Operation and Martín Ochoa, Secretary of Economic Development, Tourism and Fisheries of Mazatlán, among others.
