On the imposing Malecón de Mazatlán and the main streets of the city, this Friday, January 20th at 4:00 p.m., candidates who aspire to the crowns of Carnaval Internacional de Mazatlán 2023 “Déjàvu, 125 years of tradition”, will star in the second Carnaval demonstration.
Raúl Rico González, General Director of the Instituto Municipal, de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, indicated that this Friday a great fiesta is expected in the streets where the Carnaval troop will parade.
To the parade of the candidates is added the participation of the outgoing queens.
“We expect about 300 cars in the caravan, and the route will be from the traditional exit in front of the New Aquarium,from there we go along Avenida del Mar, we turn onto Gutiérrez Nájera, we go to Juan Carrasco, Aquiles Serdán, Alemán Avenue, Olas Altas and Ángel Flores”.
The public servant commented that at the end of the tour, the applicants for the Carnaval titles will visit the Mayor of Mazatlán, Edgar González Zatarain at the Municipal Palace.
“It is the moment where the fiesta gets better because all the demonstrators congregate in the Plazuela (República), their cheers are demonstrated and a great atmosphere is created”, exclaimed the director.
One of the reasons why this route was chosen is not to hinder the road project that is being applied in some streets of the city, there is also the background of the good response that the demonstration on the boardwalk had. previously the fiesta advanced on Av. Ejército Mexicano.
The Instituto de Cultura invites society in general to circulate through alternative routes than the route of the demonstration, and those who agree are invited to join so that this event remains among the favorites of the Mazatlecans.
