To give greater fluidity to the parades of Carnaval Internacional de Mazatlán 2024, the Secretariat will participate and the support of 200 students from the Merchant Nautical School will be requested to help to avoid crowds on the boardwalk during the passage of the floats.

In a meeting convened by the Instituto de Cultura de Mazatlán held this Saturday at the paramunicipal facilities, the conditions and technical requirements to clear the boardwalk, Av. Rafael Buelna and Av. Miguel Alemán were analyzed in order to avoid setbacks during the Carnaval parades, on Sunday, February 11th and Tuesday, February 13th.

Chaired by the General Director of CULTURA, Raúl Rico González, the meeting requested support from the Secretariat of Public Security to control the pedestrian flow around Plazuela Machado, and in case of closure to avoid crowds, allow people to pass through. who have made reservations at restaurants in the area.

Regarding cleaning, the Directorate of Public Services requested support from the Directorate of Public Safety and Transit so that at the end of the parades people are urged to clear the area where the blower and cleaning personnel will pass.

With companies that have overhead cables in the parade area, the possibility of temporarily removing them at critical points was analyzed so that the twelve-meter-high floats can pass without risk.

The Chief Officer of the Mazatlán City Council, Rogelio Olivas, participated in the meeting; Karla Camacho, Director of Public Services; personnel from CULTURA, Public Security, Civil Protection, the Federal Electricity Commission and companies that provide cable television services.
