The Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, is an organization that enjoys national and international prestige, it is also an entity with social responsibility, that is why the General Director José Ángel Tostado Quevedo, informs us of the changes of the event “Evening of the Arts”.
Tostado Quevedo reported as the only modification, the cancellation of the dinner that was planned, leaving the artistic event in force. The great event will take place this Saturday, February 13 at 8:00 p.m., at the majestic Angela Peralta Theater, tickets are on sale at a cost of $300 pesos per person for any location, at the Theater box office from Monday to Friday from 12:00 and noon to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
The Directoy asserted that this decision is due to the need to take care of society, as well as the personnel of the Instituto de Cultura, and to continue with strict preventive measures that are in favor of the community.
The Evening of the Arts will honor the author of the most notable work of Mexican literature published during 2020, on this occasion Mexican writer Malva Flores, poet, narrator and essayist was proclaimed the winner with her literary work “Estrella de Dos Puntas”, an essential account of the relationship between Fuentes and Paz, the two most important Mexican writers of the 20th century, a canvas in which Malva Flores makes the intellectual and political characters who shaped Mexico and the world of the past century appear.
The author will obtain the recognition and economic remuneration of 100,000 pesos. A prize that was granted to her by unanimous decision of the jury including Pablo Raphael de la Madrid, Mary Carmen Sánchez Ambriz and Ana García Bergua.
For the event called “Grandes Pasiones”, the artistic repertoire will merge the talent of the dancers of the Compañía de Ballet Clásico de Cultura and the musicians who are members of the Camerata Mazatlán under the artistic direction of maestro Guillermo Carrillo.
