I would like to be Queen of Mazatlán International Carnaval to be an international spokesperson for everything that our municipality has to give to the world. Mazatlán is not only the gateway to the Pacific, it is a great center of culture and arts, and there is no Carnaval like Mazatlán, says Desiré Velázquez Ayón.

Candidate for Queen of Mazatlán Carnaval, 25 years old, a lawyer and a Master’s student in Marketing, the representative of the pink banner affirms that she would like to join the international promotion of Mazatlán and its biggest fiesta.

“As a candidate, I would like to promote the Carnaval in different languages and countries. I speak English, French and Italian. I would like us to spread the word about Carnaval more with this type of content so that people from other countries also get to know us and it becomes more international and we contribute to making Carnaval the most important in the world.”

What are you committed to if you win, so that your reign transcends over time?

“First of all, being able to transmit to different languages and different countries everything that we have managed to do with the Carnaval. I would also like to be a spokesperson for what we Mazatlecan women and queens have done throughout our years as a reign, and on the other hand, as a lawyer, I would like to provide free legal advice to women to empower them here in Mazatlan.”

What is the most important virtue to wear a crown?

“Closeness to the Mazatlan people, and the other countries that come to visit us and also being persistent in achieving the goals that make a queen stand out.”

-A message to the population.

“Tell all the people you know to visit us. Mazatlán International Carnaval has so many things to offer and is an unforgettable experience. Come everyone to Mazatlán!
