This Friday, February 7th, the people of Mazatlán are preparing for an exciting event: the election of the next Children’s Queen and the King of Joy of the Mazatlán International Carnaval 2025 “La Perla”. The appointment is at 6 pm in the Plazuela República, the stage of the second and last.
The little candidates for the children’s crowns are Ángela Salazar Irigoyen, 9 years old, and Ximena Lizárraga Correa, 8 years old.
The candidates for the title of King of Joy are: Bryan Gamboa Durán, Roberto Castro Sedano and Sergio Osuna Corona.
The cheerleaders accompanying each of the participants are ready to support their favorites while the committees work hard to collect the last economic votes that will determine the final result.
The winners will be those who contribute the greatest number of votes collected during an intense campaign that began on November 13th. This effort has aroused great interest among the inhabitants of Mazatlán to meet the next sovereigns of the port’s biggest festival.
The evening will be enlivened by the musical group Maz Show and will feature a series of artistic dances by students from the Vilanova Dance Art Center directed by teacher Montserrat Millán, inspired by “La Perla”, the theme of the Carnaval.
