Huge puppets will participate in the parades
Two huge puppets that will interact with the public join the parades of Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán 2024 in which 32 floats will participate, responded Raúl Rico González.
The General Director and Producer of the great Port fiesta announced that some designers such as Sodelva Ríos, Luis Antonio “Momo” Ríos, as well as a man from Sinaloa who exhibits his creations in Rome, Italy, will be responsible for dressing the royalty of Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán 2024, which with the motto: “Baroque Eclipse”, will be celebrated from Thursday, February 8th to Tuesday, February 13th.
At the conclusion of a press conference, Raúl Rico González, General Director of the Instituto Municipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, reported on the progress in the organization of the Port’s biggest festival.
“It has already started, work is already underway, there is Sodelva (Ríos), Momo (Luis Antonio Ríos), and soon we are going to announce the designers, and I prefer to make it known when I have the signature, one that we already have is a designer from Sinaloa Originally from Escuinapa who resides in Italy, he is a high-profile designer for the Queen of Carnaval, as soon as we have the signature we will announce it,” the manager reported.
Regarding the traditional manigotes that decorate the coastal promenade and the Plazuela Machado during the days of Carnaval, the official indicated that those in charge of creating them have already started working and they will be installed two weeks before the big fiesta.
The General Director of CULTURA clarified that tickets will not be given away to attend the Carnaval events, tickets will be sold like last year, since that was precisely what allowed the most emblematic festival of the Mazatlecos to survive, otherwise It would become a very heavy burden for the Municipality.
