This Tuesday, at a press conference held at the Ángela Peralta Theater, the line-up of Carnaval Internacional de Mazatlán 2023 “Eclipse Barroco” was announced, taking place from February 8th to 13th.

The press conference was headed by the Municipal President of Mazatlán, Edgar González Zatarain, and the General Director of CULTURA, Raúl Rico González, who announced the line-up that will perform music for varied tastes, from reggaeton, Latin pop, jazz, rock, regional Mexican, Sinaloa banda and baroque music.

The current sovereigns of the greatest Port festival attended the presentation: Alejandra Tirado, Queen of Carnaval; Uma Ramírez, Queen of the Floral Games and Victor Quiroz, King of Carnaval Internacional de Mazatlán 2023.

For the Evening of the Arts, the performance of Alexandre Da Costa stood out, on February 3rd at 8:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater.

Da Costa is a conductor and virtuoso violinist who plays a Stradivarios Di Barbaro violin from 1701. In this presentation musicians from the Camerata Mazatlán will be directed by the notable SONY classical artist who is characterized by the production of electrifying, virtuoso music, loaded with brilliant expressiveness and love for life.

All coronations will take place at the “Teodoro Mariscal” Baseball Stadium.

As star figures, the performance of Julión Álvarez and Alfredo Olivas was confirmed with their show “Prófugos del Annex” during the Coronation of the King of Carnaval.

The successful exponents of the Mexican regional will begin a national tour in Mazatlán with their show “Prófugos del Annex”, on Thursday, February 8th at 7:30 pm.

During the coronation of the Queen of the Floral Games, on Friday, February 9th at 8:30 pm. Fernando de la Mora and Ely Guerra will delight the public through the concert “México en Grande” with the accompaniment of the Camerata Mazatlán and mariachi music by the Traditional Mexican Ensemble directed by Samuel Murillo.

Fernando de la Mora is a talented Mexican singer who reaches high registers with his voice, coupled with his stage presence and unmatched charisma that make him one of the best opera performers in the world.

Ely Guerra is an outstanding Mexican singer, musician and composer who has triumphed on international stages, receiving three nominations and winning a Latin Grammy.

At the coronation of the Carnaval Queen, on Saturday, February 10th, starting at 6:30 pm. The audience will enjoy the performance of the renowned exponent of Latin pop, Emmanuel, an artist who has sold millions of records in his career, has won important recognitions and has made several international tours. He will be accompanied on stage by his son Alexander Acha, winner of several awards for his music that has no borders.

At the Coronation of the Children’s Queen, entertainment will be provided by the group Piso 21, whose members will delight their fans with their hits, on Monday, February 12th, starting at 6:30 pm. The group originally from Medellín, Colombia is one of the most popular bands in the urban genre and has had performances alongside Maluma, Nicky Jam, Black Eyed Peas and Christian Nodal, among other greats of the stage.

On Carnaval Monday, Salvador Lizárraga’s Original Banda El Limón will make the Carnaval audience sing and dance in Olas Altas. It is a popular music institution that has won several Latin Grammy awards and has sold millions of records, managing to conquer the hearts of several generations.

At the press conference, the Mayor of Mazatlán, Edgar González, expressed that it is a balanced cast that will guarantee the fun of the people not only at the coronations, but on the street, during the parades and at the big fiesta in Olas Altas.

The General Director of CULTURA, Raúl Rico González admitted that due to lack of resources it was not possible to hire great artists “but we are very happy with the cast, Carnaval is going to work, it has a good entertainment offering.”

He added that the complexity of Carnaval Mazatlán is being able to satisfy a very wide range of requests, the Carnaval is not easy because it has to balance everyone’s tastes, and therein lies the secret of this programming that is very focused on all audiences.

Tickets on sale starting today to attend the Evening of the Arts and the Coronations of the Carnaval Queen, Queen of the Floral Games and Children’s Queen.

For the coronation of the Queen of the Floral Games and Queen of the Carnaval, ticket prices range between $200.00 and $1,800.00 and for the Coronation of the Child Queen: cost ranges from $200.00 to $1,500.00.
Tickets for Evening of the Arts cost: $550.00, $650.00, $700.00 and $800.00.
Tickets to enter the Carnaval fiesta in Olas Altas will cost $70.00.
