“I would love to be Queen of Carnaval Internacional de Mazatlán with the intention of being part of a project to achieve the expansion of our city internationally,” says Irene Guadalupe Rojas Alcaraz.
The candidate for Queen of Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán 2024, 23 years old and ambassador of the purple baton, considers it an honor to represent the port of Mazatlán, a place where she has developed as a woman and highlights that this contest of beauty and criteria for her is a platform to make your way in the professional field.
I am an Industrial Engineer but I would love to be Queen of the Carnaval to be part of actions aimed at achieving the growth of tourism, of the economy of Mazatlán, to be part of that international expansion project; combine the tourism and business part, because as an Industrial Engineer I cover quality and development within companies.
How do you see Mazatlán nationally and internationally?
“Many cruise ships and tourists arrive during Carnaval, during Holy Week, during Easter Week, I think we can no longer consider Mazatlán as national, it is already an international place, visitors come, more recognized artists come.”
The purple baton candidate clarifies that during this race, the emotional support provided by her family, her friends, and the people who have seen her grow up is very important to her.
“However, I am aware that on this path I am meeting many new people and that fills me with emotion, because you know that in order to go through new doors you have to meet people, everything is based on that and it makes me very sensitive to talk about this but It is something that I love, that the people I least expect are giving me.”
The contest to choose the Queen of Carnaval Internacional Mazatlán 2024 will be on Saturday, January 20th at 8:00 p.m. at the Ángela Peralta Theater.
