Restaurateurs of Plazuela Machado invite you to enjoy “Tardes de Carnaval”, from February 27th to March 4th in the heart of Centro Historico.
In a press conference held today, Erick Mandujano, president of CANIRAC, highlighted that the objective is for Plazuela Machado to be the family tourist destination during the celebration of the biggest festival in the port.
More than a gastronomic celebration, “Tardes de Carnaval” is an initiative that seeks to promote the vocation of Plazuela Machado as a historic and emblematic site for social coexistence, where music, gastronomy, healthy fun and joy will be the protagonists during the most anticipated celebration of the port.
Together, the restaurant owners of Machado seek to bring Mazatlan families and tourists together to enjoy a family atmosphere, good music and, of course, the delicious dishes offered in the area.
Berenice Rodríguez, on behalf of the Centro Historico Council, highlighted that as a private assistance institution, they celebrate that the restaurants of Plazuela Machado have agreed to carry out “Carnaval Afternoons” because it is a project that is born from citizen participation and collaboration among all.
At a press conference, restaurateurs from the area, accompanied by Raúl Rico González, General Director of the Institut Munucipal de Cultura, Turismo y Arte de Mazatlán, revealed the details of this attractive proposal that will give the opportunity for different groups to present their musical proposal at the Plazuela Machado kiosk.
“Carnaval Afternoons” will take place from Thursday, February 27th to Tuesday, March 4th, starting at 1:00 p.m. when the artists will begin their performances during the afternoons and evenings, ending at 11:59 p.m.
Margarita Rojas invited the population to enjoy the days of Carnaval in Machado. The inauguration will be on February 27th, there will be parades and there will be music in the kiosk at the usual times, she said.
“We are very happy that we have Carnaval again in Machado, that it is family-friendly, we will welcome you with great pleasure and we have a music plan for all tastes, it is versatile, it is family-friendly,” said Leonor Carrillo.
Raúl Castillo mentioned that “The proposed music festival is music that is in the plaza every Sunday, it is versatile, there can be rock music, and we also adapted some schedules for band music, we need to reactivate with families, in past years we invited them to be part of their plaza, the heart of Centro Historico.”
At the press conference were Leonor Carrillo, Raúl Castillo, Raymundo Páez, Víctor Osuna, Israel Ontiveros, Isaac Aburto and Margarita Rojas de Del Toro, in the company of Raúl Rico, Érick Mandujano, president of Canirac Mazatlán and Berenice Rodríguez Hernández, coordinator of the Council of the Historic Center, who gave details of the activities.
