With the arrival of fantastic and colorful monigotes to the Malecón, next to the sea, this city announces the proximity of the Mazatlán International Carnaval 2025, “La Perla”, which will take place from February 27th to March 4th.
The first Carnaval figures to come out of the workshops are large-scale urban sculptures, created by the renowned Cuban painter and sculptor Henry Wilson Albuernes, they are a true work of art that combines papier-mâché, lighting and ironwork material to shape colossal figures full of color, fantasy and magic.
This year, Wilson and his team have innovated in the use of lighting and dimension, creating three specular monigotes that will illuminate the Malecón and delight visitors and locals.
The installation of the monigotes is a preview of the joy and color that characterize the Mazatlán International Carnaval, one of the most important events in the region.
