I would love to be remembered as a strong woman, who despite adversity, I keep going and manage to overcome insecurities, that is the message I want to give, says Lucero Lizárraga Salcido, the 24-year-old who wants to be Queen of the Mazatlán International Carnaval 2025.
Graduated in Marketing and International Business, the representative of the purple banner recognizes that in many occasions insecurity becomes an obstacle to getting ahead, that is why she would like to win the contest and be remembered as someone who despite the obstacles, achieved her goals in life.
What do you propose so that the Mazatlán International Carnaval endures and manages to position itself as the best?
For Carnaval to achieve this goal, it would undoubtedly be the union, we have seen it year after year, more and more people from different countries want to come to Carnaval and that is very important because they know our traditions and that we are hard-working people, with human quality and hospitable.
What do you want to achieve if you win a reign at the Mazatlán Carnaval?
The truth is that I am a fan of the contests and what they represent, they are an opportunity to grow as a person and I would certainly like to inspire others, show them that if you fight for your dreams and work, they can come true and the truth is I am open to whatever comes, I love what I do and I like to combine my career with the contests, both things complement me.”
What is the most important virtue to wear a crown?
“I firmly believe that it is empathy, that one of the most important is to be able to connect with people, to have the ability to listen and not judge, that is very important.”
– Any message to the population?
“Come to the Mazatlán Carnaval and thank you for all your support. We have to keep moving forward and there is a solution for everything.”
